This picture came immediately to mind when I checked today's theme for Photo Hunt. I am not a Catholic but I have always been fascinated with Catholic churches. The designs are sometimes elaborate, sometimes crude but functional and still with a touch of art.
This was taken inside the church of the Monastery of the Transfiguration in Malaybalay, Bukidnon. This is run by Benedictine monks which, by the way, also produce Monks' Blend premium coffee quite popular with travelers.
The church is interesting from the outside with its pyramid shape structure. Going inside, one can see the altar is made of rock and so is the podium. This church gives a great view of the picturesque Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

Wow! why is that rock so special as to be on the pedestal?
BTW, I like your blog layout.
That is very interesting. I never knew there would be so many interesting ways to view rocks!
